Hi guys!!

This is my first post for the year and for that I do apologize. A lot has happened over the past few months in my life that caused me to not spend the time I wanted to on this group. Although, I've been occupied outside of deviantart, I've still been accepting artwork, just at a slower rate. I just want to thank you all who have stayed with me and this group. Thanks so much for having so much patience with me. Also, if you never received a message from me regarding your artwork and it expired, please do resubmit. There is still not limits on submissions.

On another note, I had my first artwork showcase last month and that was awesome so that took up a lot of time as well as me trying to get my life in order. :) Trying to figure out what next steps I should take regarding my career. :la:

Also, I still want to keep the member of the month active, so if anyone would like to be the member of the month for this month, please note that group as soon as possible.

I think that's it I have to report. Thanks again you guys for submitting such awesome artwork. I still can't believe that this group has grown so much.

Any queries or questions, don't be afraid to note the group or me. Also, if you have suggestions don't be afraid to send a message as well.

Take care you guys and have a great week and month! :) :happybounce: :happybounce:

MEMBER OF THE MONTH FEATURE (AUGUST)!!!

INTRODUCING :iconmehwastaken: This Deviant has a total of 7 Deviations in this group. Do check out this folder.

1. A little history about yourself and list the type of commissions you do.

I draw realistic anime manga styled humans, realistic cartoonish humanoids, anthros and animals, feral type. I draw full bodies, head shots, busts, half bodies that are all at the same price in the certain style chosen. I have 3 different styles (one divided in an uncolored and a colored version). I draw reference sheets. I don't draw mecha, nudity, nsfw (unless it's gore), couples (unless it's small things like holding hands).

2. What made you want to do commissions?

I always liked drawing someone elses characters from time to time to see how I can draw them by doing fanarts. When I found out on deviantart about commissions and that I was good enough to do them, I decided to give it a try. It has helped a lot since my mother has some heart problems and can't get out of the house while my father has a part time job with a small salary. So the extra money was very helpful so that I can buy materials for the Art school that I attend and help out with the bills at home.

3. How long have you been doing commissions?

I think it's been almost a year. It's been a wonderful journey and I've met very nice clients.

4. What’s the most difficult commission you have ever done?

Hmm. Now that's a tough question, as I enjoyed drawing all of them. I think it was this one Commission for DianaGArtz Commission for DianaGArtz by MehWasTaken At the time I even surprised myself on how it turned out. Although I have to admit that I liked the character very much so it made sense that I managed to draw him like this.

5. What do you love most about doing commissioned artwork for clients?

The diversity of the characters I'm asked to be drawn. Also I like seeing that people enjoy how I drew them and are satisfied with it. It makes me feel like I can do something with drawing.

6. Any other info you would like to share (whether discounts offering or specials)

I do have a discount for the duration of a month, where anyone who pays over 20$ gets a free reference sheet with a head shot and two full bodies, one side view and one front view. The countdown starts at the first person commissioning over 20$. Also, I've made a commission template of my own: Commissions OPEN by MehWasTaken

Thanks

Hi guys!

Hope everyone is doing well so far for the new year. I apologize for the silence over the past six months. Lots have been going on in my life and I'm trying to keep up. I'm still happy that many of you all still stick around even though it's been quiet around here. ^_^ Besides that, I have cleared up most of the submissions so thank you all for having Elegant Commissions as a home for your awesome artwork! Really appreciated. :)

Anyway, we've only had one Member of the month for the year, so if someone is interested in being that for the month do let me know. The fee would be 25 :points: instead of the regular 50 :points: for the month of June only.

On the other end, just a recap of our Member of the month for February 2016 below. Take care and have a great week.

Thanks

I've been drawing for 16 years already (started at 5 years old) and I've been on deviantART for 7-8 years ago but in different accounts. I also do Adoptables.

2. What made you want to do commissions?

I was told my art was "worth paying for" and wanted to give a try till I got to like it after years working on commissions. Later it became my job to afford studies and healthcare needs.

3. How long have you been doing commissions?

I think it's been 4-5 years.

4. What’s the most difficult commission you have ever done?

Commissions that were extremely full of details.

5. What do you love most about doing commissioned artwork for clients?

Seeing and meeting their characters, or especially when I'm asked to do fan art of certain games or series I like. But mostly to achieve with clients' expectations.

INTRODUCING :iconmrakobulka: This Deviant has a total of 11 Deviations in this group. Do check out this folder.

1. A little history about yourself and list the type of commissions you do.

I’ve been an artist for about 7 years, and I’ve been posting my art on DA for 5 years. Having my art exposed gives me a lot of motivation to continue producing it. Commissions I usually work on are digital OC art and character designs.

2. What made you want to do commissions?

It was a simple need for money, since I’m an adult and have to pay my bills. Though it is also a nice way of making extra-money with the thing I love doing. So it’s both entertainment and profit.

3. How long have you been doing commissions?

For 3 years

4. What’s the most difficult commission you have ever done?

It was a commission with a lot of detail to costumes. I got carried away with it and spent lots of hours on drawing patterns from scratch.

5. What do you love most about doing commissioned artwork for clients?

It’s interesting to see how a character is going to end up looking in your style, to give then some personal twist. Also, the clients themselves are very lovely. I am a lucky person who hasn’t had any negative experience with clients so far.

6. Any other info you would like to share (whether discounts offering or specials)

I give small discounts to customers who order multiple pieces at once (in case total price exceeds 40$)
Also I am always willing to give individual discounts for customers who order from me regularly.

Thanks
